Outstanding Practices

Inclusion begins with its name at AllGen Financial Advisors. AllGen signifies the firm’s commitment to delivering financial wisdom to people of every generation and the RIA has no minimum investment requirement to make sure the amount of funds someone has to invest isn’t an impediment for getting help. Led by CEO and co-founder Paul Roldan, who is of Puerto Rican descent, half of the firm’s 14 employees are women and nearly 70% are Hispanic or Asian. Employees speak English, Spanish, Portuguese and Hmong. Typically, clients are families ranging in age from 35 to 55, professional women, HENRYs (high earner, not rich yet), and many individuals and families from the Hispanic community.

“We intentionally wanted to create a team that represents the marketplace we serve,” said Ted Watson, chief marketing officer. The Orlando, Florida-based firm’s branding illustrates its diversity to intentionally make the firm approachable to diverse clients, Watson said. The firm, which has about $230 million in assets, also seeks to make financial planning accessible to more individuals and small businesses through AllGen Academy, a resource library it’s created with webinars, videos and other materials aimed at sharing financial lessons.
